Advanced Driving Course

Course content includes

Interactive half day theory session on defensive driving & causes of accidents including various film clips to promote safe but brisk driving to assist in validating what is learnt
Appreciation of the affect of human factors (i.e. attitude, fatigue etc) on performance
A systematic approach to hazards
Improvement of observations and awareness of potential risks on the road
Emphasis on smooth driving to include commentary driving, together with hazard management and risk reduction to a higher than normal standard expected from an advanced driver. Taking the Advanced Driving Test.

Who should attend?

Business and professional drivers whose role exposes them to a higher than average risk, and those who wish to develop their defensive driving skills to an advanced level.

What will they learn?

Delegates learn the theory and practical aspects of advanced / defensive driving via the combination of an interactive theory workshop, a vehicle performance audit and practical driving sessions.

Delegates should have a thorough knowledge of the ´Highway Code´ and be able to demonstrate an above average standard of driving prior to attending this course.

Duration

Driving Course – 3½ Days (4½ days if skid control course is included). Maximum two delegates for optimal learning and driving time.
